The Oryx Nova standard

Quality, and how it is made.

A cutting station gives the shape. The material gives what the end customer feels under the finger and sees on the screen. Here is how Oryx Nova material is chosen, and what is checked before a sheet leaves.

The selection

Three decisions taken before the first cut.

The grade

At a manufacturer, the same material exists in several grades. Oryx Nova takes the high grade, not the middle one. It is the first decision, and it costs.

The supplier

Several were tried and compared before one was kept for the range. Changing supplier to gain a few points means changing the product.

The two criteria

How the film takes on the screen, and what image the screen keeps. Everything else comes after those two.

The checks

Three moments, and nothing in between.

When a reference enters the range

A new reference is applied and judged before it exists in the catalogue. One that does not pass does not enter, and that is why the range is short.

When a batch arrives

Every batch is checked on arrival, against the one before it. An uneven batch is the clearest sign of a material nobody checked, and it does not leave.

Before the piece leaves

The last check is on the piece itself. If it does not conform, it does not leave.

What it changes

What your counter notices first.

Consistency

Two sheets from the same batch give the same result on application. A shopkeeper sees it at once, and an end customer cannot name it.

A short range

No reference enters the range simply because it exists on the market. What is left was chosen.

The service that follows

Installation, training and resupply are part of the product. A station with no material is of no use.

In the open

What is not published here.

The detail of what is measured, with which instrument, and from what deviation a sheet is refused, belongs to Oryx Nova and is not published.

No resistance measurement and no service life appears on this site: those values are discussed on a quotation, for a precise reference. Thickness is published, and it is written on every product page.
