Why cut protective film on demand instead of stocking boxed protectors?
Pre-cut stock has to guess demand per model in advance, ties up capital in models that may never sell and still misses the model a customer walks in with. Does it really fit any device?
If a model has an outline in the Oryx Nova cloud device library, the station cuts for it, and new models are added as they launch. A device that is not listed yet can still be measured and cut.
My device is brand new. Will you have it?
New models are added to the Oryx Nova device library as they release, so the newest devices are covered quickly.
Can you protect more than the screen?
An Oryx Nova station cuts the screen, and the back and sides with the 3D, leather-look and custom print back films. Each is cut to the same device outline.
Does Oryx Nova cut for foldables and curved screens?
Oryx Nova clear, matte, privacy, anti-reflective and anti-blue-light films are listed for foldables, and the outline in the device library carries the curves, notches and cutouts of the exact model. The back films are cut for phones and foldables around the camera island.
Does Oryx Nova cut film for watches, tablets and laptops?
Oryx Nova clear and matte films are cut for phones, foldables, tablets, watches, laptops, camera screens, handhelds and earbud cases; Tablet Clear and Laptop Clear are cut to the exact size of a tablet or laptop display. The catalogue lists the device categories per film.
What if a device is not in the library?
Every model in the Oryx Nova cloud device library can be cut, and a device that is not in it is cut from its dimensions, entered manually at the station.

What is the difference between clear, matte and privacy film?
Oryx Nova Clear leaves the picture and the reflections of the bare screen unchanged; Matte diffuses reflections and resists fingerprints, with a paper-like glide; Privacy darkens the screen when viewed from the side so only the person in front reads it. All three are cut to the same device outline.
Does Oryx Nova sell tempered glass?
Oryx Nova sells protective film only, cut at the station to the outline of the device: the range has no tempered glass and no vehicle paint protection film.
What is the film made of?
Oryx Nova films are TPU, TPH and EPU films: the flexible protective films that shops sell as "hydrogel film". Every Oryx Nova film is cut at the station to the outline of the customer's device; see film material in the glossary.
